Unlike conventionalmixers or agitators, FPS high shear mixers utilize specialized rotor/stator technology to generate extremelyhigh shear rates, creating a powerful suction effect that continuously draws materials into the high shearzone. FPS High shear mixers and high-pressure homogenizers are both used to create fine dispersions andemulsions, but they operate differently. High shear mixers use shearing action to reduce particle size downto the submicron level, making them an efficient and effective solution for particle size reduction andemulsification. They achieve this by sending substances through a narrow gap between a high-speedturning rotor and a stationary stator, which creates shear force and subjects the substances to intensestress, disrupting particles and droplets to create a finer and more homogenous mixture or emulsion.Incontrast, high-pressure homogenizers require high amounts of energy to create pressure differentials forhomogenization or size reduction of ingredients. The efficiency of this process is enhanced byinterchangeable work headhigh tip speeds, and the precise rotor-stator gap, which collectively ensureoptimal mixing and homogenization. FPS offers a range of high shear mixers, including inlinehomogenizers and top-mounted homogenizers, tailored to meet diverse processing requirement.
FPS HIGH SHEAR PRINCIPLE :FPS High shear homogenizer works on the fps principle of shear force produced in the working head.The high rotation of the rotor stucks the material into the eye of the rotor where in high amount ofcentrifugal force throws the material outwards towards the stator wall. The material is continuouslysheared off as the high rotational kinetic energy is converted to heat energy because of disruption to theflow of material in between the rotor and the stator further leading to the high amount of shear energy ina small confined space, also known as the tolerance in between the rotor and stator.

FPS provides a range of High Shear Disperser widely used for high shear dispersion applications catering to a wide range of industries and applications.
Disperser range is designed for Dispersion or Mixing of different Rheology Behaviour Exhibiting Products and its primary Purpose is to incorporate powders into liquid and break down particle Agglomerates to produce a Fine Dispersion.
Running at tip speeds up to around 25 m/s, the open disc blade of the High Speed Disperser generates vigorous flow and a characteristic vortex into which Powders or any Dry Ingredients are added for quick Dispersion. This classic mixer can handle Product viscosities from 1 cps to up to 50,000 cps.
